![]() The cinematic Avengers are (or at least were) Whedon’s baby, so having him as the solo commentator makes some sense. It’s a bit disappointing that we don’t get to hear Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and the rest of the gang, but maybe they’d spend more time joking amongst themselves than offering insight into how the film was made. Age of Ultron – which looks great on Blu-ray, by the way – includes an optional audio commentary by geek god director Joss Whedon, but none of the cast. ![]() It’s just too bad there’s not more of it. ![]() A cynic might even say the bonus material is more entertaining than the movie itself. Having saved the world from supernatural, technological and extraterrestrial menaces, the Avengers probably deserve to cut loose and enjoy themselves a little.Īnd fun is definitely being had in the special features on the Avengers: Age of Ultron home video release, available now for high-def digital download and hitting Blu-ray on Friday.
